This ‘90s-inspired Saint Louis Billikens basketball design takes us back to the days of “Spoonball” and the Billikens’ heyday. The 1990s were good to the Billikens, especially after new men’s head coach Charlie Spoonhour arrived in 1992. Under Spoonhour, Saint Louis’ entire team culture transformed, and it showed on the court; “Spoonball” was the talk of the nation when, in 1994, the Billikens ended a nearly 40-year NCAA tournament drought.
