From 1971 to 1990, this devilish mascot appeared as an alternate Blue Devils logo. While he didn’t stick as the tried and true Blue Devil mascot, he was around as Duke gained momentum in men’s basketball under then-new head coach Mike Krzyzewski, and saw Duke through its first-ever team national championship in men’s soccer.
