From 1966 to 1971, Duke used this Blue Devil as their primary logo. He’s much simpler than previous iterations of the character, which ranged from realistic and fearsome to cherub-like. Duke men’s basketball also experienced success through the 1960s, including being tournament runners-up in 1964 and making a Final Four run in 1966.
